A NEW HOPE is James Matthews, Brenton Alderson, Daniel Nunns, and Chris Van Namen. This Newcastle based quartet formed in December 2002 and got straight into writting original genre bending songs to please the Newcastle music scene. They are a mixture of Punk, Rock, Metal, and also emo. They hit the stage scene in Sydney for their first real gig in a band competition called Youth Rock and ever since have been continuing to impress people around the Newcastle area. With a wide variety of influences such as The Ataris, Finch, A Fire Inside, Metallica, New Found Glory, Blink 182 and many more. These guys are all about fun. So make sure you catch them at a gig.
